What is purpose of battery in trunk of chrysler 300?

Lack of space under the hood. Under hood temperatures too high, batteries do not like heat.

Doubtful as the battery is Not Lithium. My guess is an extra batt due 2 the extreme amount of electronics inside. Stereo enthusiasts have capacitors & extra batts, etc... Theres the possibility it's there for the emergency assist & tracking only?
