A flash drive usb is little and can fit in your pocket. It can Cary large files and important information and can be taken anywhere with you and put into any computer. A DVD while having many of the same qualities is bulky and large and needs a case of some sort to be carried in for protection. A DVD cannot hold as much information as a usb drive.
There is no difference. Flash drive, pen drive, and thumb drive are all interchangeable terms.
only the name is different
Flash RAM is used for temporary data, such as in a USB drive. Flash ROM is used for bios and system files.
A USB flash drive is a type of external drive. If you meant external drive as an external hard drive, then no, there won't be any difference in the pictures. However, if you're archiving, I'd suggest an external hard drive, because they work best for archiving.
Alright USB is Universal Serial Bus wich is used to connect devices to your comptuer. Now a thumb drive is a very small device that has a varitey of the ammount of storage they can hold. Now Flash Drive sometimes reffered to as Thumb Drive is really fast but cost more and holds less. Now USB hard drives are slow transfer rate but the thumb drive plugs into a USB so im not sure what exactly you mean. Hope this helped :)
the creator of the usb flash drive is Dov Moran
