An AA battery is nominally 1.5 volts, so if the four batteries are wired in series (+ of one to - of the next), the voltage is nominally 6 volts.
However, the batteries could also be wired in parallel, with all four positive terminals connected together and all four negative terminals connected together. Then the voltage would be 1.5 volts.
To make it even more complicated, you could also wire two pairs, with each battery wired in series to its twin, but with the two pairs wired in parallel to each other. Then the voltage is 3.0 volts.
My understanding is 5.7volts is what your supposed to be charging 4 AA rechargeables ,wired in series, with... Due to loss of current through connectors and wires.. But i cant remember exactly what the voltage needed after the loss is? anyway.. hope that helps you a little
Well the AAA will have more voltage, but the AA might have more AMPs per battery. you need to give more information about the batteries.
To charge a battery, the charger voltage must be higher than the battery voltage. If a AA battery (or any other) has a normal voltage of 1.2V the charger voltage must be at least 1.2V. The type of voltage supply and its current capability is immaterial. No, the charging voltage have to be larger than the battery voltage, to charge 2 AA batteries, that is 3 volt if connected in series, so a voltage of at least 4 volt is needed
Which brand of AA batteries lasts the longest
4 AA batteries is what the light takes.
Yes, they run on more 4-AA batteries. -brett
4 AA batteeies
4 aa batteries
When placing voltage sources in parallel, the total voltage is the same as the individual battery's voltages. For example: If I was to place 4 "AA" 1.5 volt batteries in parallel with a life of x hours, the out put would be 1.5 volts with a life of 4x hours. note: never place batteries in parallel that are not in the same condition (charge, voltage, ect...).
the camera with four AA batteries would die faster because that indicates it need more power than a camera that only needs two AA
That would depend how they are connected. Are all Eight 6 volt batteries connected in series giving a total output voltage of 48V. Or are they connected with 2 sets of 4 batteries in parallel then connected in series to give a 24V output.
