To find the code for your Magnavox DVD player home theater system (model MRD310) that works with a Philips universal remote, you can refer to the manual that came with your remote. Typically, the codes for Magnavox devices may range from 0000 to 0999, so you might need to try several codes to find the correct one. You can also visit the Philips website for a list of codes or use the code search function on your remote, if available.

To program your Magnavox universal remote to work with your TV, you first need to find the program code for your specific TV model. This code can usually be found in the remote's instruction manual or on the manufacturer's website. Once you have the code, follow the remote's programming instructions, which typically involve entering a series of numbers or pressing a sequence of buttons. Finally, test the remote to ensure it is working properly with your TV.
I have one myself, a Magnavox. I bought it at Wal-Mart, but you could also go to Best Buy, Target, or look around E-bay for a used one

Philips Dvp520 does not support DivX format unfortunately. When you use Nero to burn movies, use the Movie function ( it will convert automatically into a format that your DVD player does support ). The only con is, you are only able to put 1 movie onto a DVD at a time ( divx would support up to 5 movies covering 700MB per movie).
