i reconnected my battery of mountaineer 2005 and radio is asking for code, i wasnt able to find it any where...how to solve this issue
If you remove the battery or break the connection to it, you have reset it. That is why the presets on the AM/FM radio disappear. The question is how. You do not have to reset anything except the radio presets and the clock.

As soon as a battery cable is removed ( negative first ) the computer programming is disrupted . The vehicle will need to relearn its idle , the preset radio stations will need to be reset etc.
You need a special tool. Take it to most businesses that installs radio,s and they should have the tool.
Its on the right side of the hood. It runs under the hood and through the firewall to the back of the radio
In a 1998 Mercury Mountaineer, the fuse that controls the radio light is located in the fuse box under the dashboard on the driver's side. Specifically, you should look for the fuse labeled "Radio" or "Audio." It's advisable to consult the owner's manual for the exact location and specifications of the fuse. If the radio light is not functioning, checking this fuse is a good first step in troubleshooting the issue.
Every time you disconnect a battery cable you have to reprogram the radio stations ( if that's what you are asking )
