If the 4WD light doesn't come on after switching to 4WD, it could indicate a few issues. There might be a problem with the transfer case or its control module, preventing the system from engaging properly. Additionally, issues with the 4WD indicator switch or electrical connections could also cause the light to remain off. It's advisable to check for any diagnostic trouble codes to identify the exact issue.
that 4wd is engaged and working if it blinks there is a problem with the 4wd
A 4WD on a 2001 Chevy S10 Blazer does not work properly after changing its actuator and speed sensor probably due to shorted wires. Also check for loose wiring.Ê
Yes, if everything is working properly.
Sorry, this is not an answer. Exactly the same thing is happening to my L200. Don't suppose you had any joy?? Thanks Hi I had a similar problem but mine would refuse to change out of 4wd into 2wd as well. first make sure the 4wd /2wd selector lever is in position properly. if it is not completely set right the light will either start flashing or if having just changed from 4wd to 2wd it will not stop flashing. Also I found after a short while it completely refused to change at all and would remain in 4wd with the 2wd warning light flashing. this was traced to a tiny hole in the vacuum pipe joining the solenoid and was stopping the solenoid from actuating and switching from 4wd to 2wd. Changing the pipe was cheap and fixed the problem. hope this helps Joe
Sounds as though you have a faulty gear box.
I had my 200 blazer scanned an was told it was a bad fuel tank cap. I replaced it and the light is still on.
YesYes
My issue was the actuatior had no vacum
Need to check are replace the 4x4 actuator in the FRONT differential.
There is a button on the right side of the tractor along with the cluster of other buttons. Just push in switch and light should come on switch that is 4wd. 4wd on this tractor is electric engaged.
Depending on the vehicle, the 4wd could be coming on and off. The flashing could also be a code warning. Searching for the specific vehicle may give more specific answers.
Well your 4WD might be going out, it probably wouldn't hurt to get it checked out.
