I don't think it would harm him but i wouldn't put it to close to his food or water. :)
no
It depends how frequently you clean your cavy cage if you dont it will smell like Guinea pig! Hoped I helped $)
Actually, it depends on the guinea pig you have. If he/she has a bad bladder, it's going to smell pretty bad. And, if you have a small cage, it'll get real messy real fast. If you scrub the cage down real good when you clean it, it should be fine for a while. Try to clean the cage when it first starts to smell and the smell shouldn't be there. Sometimes, the guinea pig is the one who smells bad.
Yes. Surprisingly my piggy likes it a bit. But they don't need to take a bath that often. Don't just smell your guinea pig's cage, smell your guinea pig itself. Because the reason why your cage could smell it could be just the bedding, not the piggy. Hope this helped! Have a safe and happy guinea pig! But remember make sure the water you use is at room temperature, and do not wet your guinea pig's face.
a spacy cage with a little shelter made of wood
My guinea pigs don't smell at all. And when I change their cage, I put a very light coating of Arm & Hammer Litter Box Deodorizer down right before I put in the bedding. It helps the cage stay very fresh smelling & the piggies seem to really love it! (They popcorn all over the place when we put them back into the cage after cleaning it!)
No its not, i guinea pigs cage is way bigger. & you should not have the same size of guinea pig cage as your hampster.
They are not used to sharing. It is a good idea to buy a separate cage and put them next to each other and then they will know that they wanted to play with each other. Guinea Pigs will get used to the other Guinea pig if you leave it in the cage a little.
They have flies there because no matter how much you clean your guinea pig's cage the smell of the feces will always be there unless you clean your cage every 2 weeks. Just use some soap and water. After about a year of having the same cage I find it more fun for the guinea pigs to get a new cage unless you get them out for about a hour each day. That way they don't get too bored.
It is recommended to spot clean your guinea pig's cage daily to remove any droppings or soiled bedding. A thorough cleaning of the entire cage should be done at least once a week to maintain a clean and healthy environment for your guinea pig.
Guinea pigs have very poor eyesight, so they live by smell. They smell everything around them, they even smell the air a lot to figure out what's going on outside the cage.
They can smell bad , but not if you properly clean its cage once a week.
