This is for areas when the rubber has become sticky and attached itself to the surface.

If the wood table is a real wood with polished surface great care must be taken. Use a mild solution of methylated spirit on a cotton bud and gently rub the effected area taking great care not to press to hard or circle around the rubber more than is needed. When clear wipe the area with a mild soap and water solution then using a bees wax coat the area where you've cleared off the rubber. buff up and reapply a number of times to put back the luster. then finally polish off all the table.

If there are just light skid marks on the table top use an eraser and just gentle rub across the mark - it should lift in small lumps as the eraser (silicon version) breaks down the rubber. Again bees wax the top where you've cleared the marks to bring the luster back
