pour it onto a chunk of dry ice and dig up a body of a dead murderer and shove the ice into his mouth. If the baking soda evaporates, the baking soda is still fresh.
i think they mean with out getting arested add it to vinger if it fizzes it is still good
To test the effectiveness of baking powder, you can mix a small amount with water or vinegar. If it fizzes and produces bubbles, it is still effective. If it does not react, it may have lost its potency and should be replaced.
if you use old baking powder, the cake will not rise properly. To test the baking powder to see if its still good, put one teaspoon of baking powder in a glass, add a little water, if it foams real good, you can use it, otherwise throw it out and get new.
The first thought is that one may have forgot to add baking powder, or not enough baking powder or the baking powder was bad. Baking powder is perishable. To test a batch, add 1 teaspoon to ½ cup hot water. If it doesn't bubble, throw it out.
For a good long time if it is kept properly stored. Here is a test you can use to make sure your baking powder is usable . Put water in a teaspoon and sprinkle a little bit of the baking powder in the water. If your baking powder is good the water will fizz sort of like a soda does. if you don't hear or see the fizz then baking powder is no good and should be tossed out.
put about a teaspoon in a bowl. add some water to it. or vinegar which will definitely bubble if still acive. it should dissolve and slightly 'bubble'. the best way is use by the date on the package.
I would like to test the effect of adding a teaspoon of baking powder to a glass of vinegar.
I just used some baking soda that is 4 years expired. Did the water test (tsp of soda - add a little water - see if it fizzes) to make sure it was potent. Then went on to use it. I had NO problems baking biscuits with it. Turned out great.
Please remind me to get baking powder when I go to the store.
no
No, I have not conducted a protein powder test to determine its quality and effectiveness.
You mean the baking soda some people put in their pee to try to fool the test? It can.
to check if it is not burnt
