How did Gordon Ramsey get scars on his face?

My guess is at some point in his youth someone broke the end off a bottle and stabbed him in the face with it. That would explain the semi-circle and why they look more like scars than laugh lines.

He had a serious injury while playing Rugby. He also had to have a skin graft there as a result. He also suffered from acne when he was younger.

Gordon Ramsay has no major scars, he is simply wrinkled with age.
