Sugar, salt and fat are also addictive, and the junk-food manufacturers add chemicals like monosodium glutimate to make the problem even worse. Your parents eat junk food because they are addicted, not because they want to hurt you (or themselves).
Aim to make just one small change at a time, like introducing your family to whole wheat bread or switching from whole-fat milk to 2% fat milk. Maybe you can make a deal that you will eat dinner with your family if you can make your own breakfast and lunch? Good luck with your goal to eat healty!
