Goats eat by grasping their chosen meal between their teeth and ripping of a bite. It then travels down their esophagus to their rumen where it is slightly digested then thrown up again so that the goat can chew it in the form of cud. The food then travels back down to the rumen and passes through the other three stomachs until it is stripped of its vitamins and minerals so that the goat can use it fr the nutritional purposes of its body. The food is then turned into feces.
