Cut the evaporator lines at the correct location and remove the old evaporator. Solder on the copper tee fittings on the compression and expansion lines on the compressor side and the evaporator side. Solder the valves to the copper tees (it may be possible to purchase the valves already formed with the tees). Hook up the gauges to the valves and the vacuum pump.
