if you have a self cleaning oven put the grates inside while the oven is cleaning. sometimes you have to set the oven to clean longer but it works great. leave the racks in the oven and place the grates on them. you can also place the metal burners in as well.

Cleaning Your Stove Top?

The stove top isn't one of the best areas to clean in the house, but it certainly isn't the worst either. If you want to get a good, clean shine on your stove top, begin by removing the eyes if your stove is equipped with them. Place them in hot water with soap so that the buildup on them can break down and easily rinse off. Using glass cleaner, thoroughly clean the top of the stove using paper towels to prevent streaking. If there are rough spots that are hard to clean, soak them in the cleaner for a few minutes and try again. Dry the stove eyes and replace them when done.
