at school this is one of my favourite things to do instead of listening to my English teacher. a metal ruler is best but a desk or chair will do fine. you rub and scrape the edge of the scissors against whatever you have and jsut keep at this and eventually it will sharpen.

Answertake then to a saw sharpener or you can use scissors to cut some sand paper do this several times and it will put the edge back to scissors ANSWER:Dont know why, but I have always been told to cut aluminum foil with them. It aligns the edge at a micro-cellular level.
