Three deciliters (dl) of sugar is equivalent to 300 milliliters. In terms of weight, this is approximately 240 grams, depending on the type of sugar used. For granulated sugar, this measurement is often used in recipes.

More easily put, a dl is equal to 1/2 cup.Deciliters. A deciliter is one tenth of a liter, or 10 centiliters. Or 100 milliliters.I would strongly suggest finding a cook book that is not in the metric system :)
Ideally we would like the morning sugar to be down around 100 mg/dl and for it to not go much above 140 after meals. Diabetes is mostly monitored by measuring the A1c which gives an estimate of the avergae sugar over the last 3 months. The diabetes is considered well controled if the A1c is less than 7% which correlates to an average glucose of about 135 mg/dl.
> 1 dl = 125 ml, so 3 dl = 375 ml ( about 2 cups) not quite, in fact, 1 dl = 100 ml, so 3 dl is 300 ml. The "d" in dl stands for "deci" which is "the tenth part", in this case, of a liter. It breaks down like this: 1000 milliliters = 100 centiliters = 10 deciliters = 1 liter.
Well, 4.3 is just a number that doesn't say much. Blood sugar level can be measure in mmol/L or mg/dl. Normal blood sugar varies depend on the lab a method to make the measurement, but it about 90mg/dl + or - 20 mg/dl ( 70mg/dl to 110mg/dl). In mmol/L 90mg/dl will be about 4.95mmol/L and the range will be 3.8mmol/L to 6.05mmol/L. On the other hand, A1C or HbA1c do not a measure blood sugar level, it is a measure of glycated hemoglobin (amount of hemoglobin that it is bond to sugar) ; but can be used to know blood sugar level for the last three months. This can be done because there are a correlation between the blood sugar level an the percent o hemoglobin that will be bond to sugar.
7.5 dl, 0.75 L and 750 cm^3 are some conversions.
scant 3/8 cup sugar
3/4 of its mass is sugar!!!
That is approximately 1/5 of a tablespoon

On average, 1 pound of sugar is equivalent to about 2 cups. Therefore, 3 pounds of sugar would be approximately 6 cups.
