A line cook will earn 10-15 and hour, an actual Chef will earn between $60-$75,000 a year. Chefs have received training, line cooks have not.

The following are averages:

Executive Chef: $75,596
Executive Sous Chef: $52,714
Pastry Chef: $50,581
Sous Chef: $39,305
Line Cook: $12.64 hourly
