I would not eat white sugar. For sweetness, I would use honey, stevia, maple syrup, and agave nectar. I would not eat beef or pork. I would eat organic chicken, turkey, fish, eggs, and legumes, including tofu. I would not eat dairy. I would take a calcium supplement. I would not knowingly eat any food that had preservatives, food coloring, or sugar in them, or any ingredient that requires a degree in Chemistry to pronounce. I would not eat complex protein within 6 hours of going to bed. I would eat vegetables of all kinds: raw, shredded, julienned, steamed, sauteed, grilled, baked, and broiled. I would munch on raw nuts. I would snack on fruits. I would make hummus with chickpeas and raw sesame seeds, and use it as a dip with very simple corn and potato chips. I would use extra virgin olive oil, first cold press, exclusively. I would supplement my diet with cold milled flaxseed. I would use lemon juice and salt (sea salt) instead of vinegar. I would eat fruit smoothies that I made myself. I would drink fruit juices, and think hard about buying a juicer. I would make my own salad dressing. I would eat grains of all types: brown rice, millet, quinoa. I would eat homemade polenta. I would eat potatoes. I would eat sourdough bread (It uses no sugar in it, and no preservatives.). I would eat homemade cornbread that uses no white flour and uses honey as a sweetener. I would allow myself limited intake of pasta. I would make my own tortillas from scratch. My meals would have a meat entree, a carbohydrate (a grain, bread, potato, etc.) and a vegetable dish. There would be a fruit-based dessert. (Dietitians tell us it's better to eat fruit beforea meal.) I would eat bean sprouts and alfalfa sprouts. There would always be bananas in the house. My mantra would be, "Food is not processed, it's grown." The closer to the ground you can get your food, the more nutritious it is. And remember that "the skin's the best part."
