Should be just fine, as long as it is the 100% organic Hapi Gro compost. I got some at Lowes and mixed 50/50 with regular soil to start seedlings. did that a couple of days ago. First time to use this compost so we will see what happens.

Don't use anything else unless it says 100% organic others even those labled "compost" can have chemical dyes, weed suppressants, and preservatives to slow breakdown of matter.

You don't want all those chemicals in your plants. Otherwise what is the point of growing your own, plenty of chemicals in the the store bought ones.

Anyway 100% organic good.
