This is a very hard question to answer, espiecially because I am not a scholar. I suggest you go to a scholar and ask him for a fatwah (ruling) on this question, personally I think it isn't right because it may change the shari'ah.
Perdue is supposed to be a halal company, It has Amish-raised natural chicken but machine slaughtered. However, the guy pulling the lever would say "Bismillah" each time. So it doesn't follow all Islamic rules but claims to be halal.
