I dont think it will be worth it. After switching it off, the fridge will gradually warm up inside - when you switch it back on, it will work overtime to get the temperature back down again so in the long run you wont really save money. They dont use that much electricity anyway so its not really worth risking it - you might end up wasting more money on food you'll have to throw out.
