What is flufferfication?

Flufferfication is a made up word found on a particular science worksheet as a distractor to a multiple choice question.

It has no meaning, although I like to think it measures the softness of an animal's fur on a scale of one to ten, as Moh's Hardness Scale does for rocks & minerals.

Ex. "This cat has an approximate flufferfication of 8."
