There is not one person credited with inventing eating utensils. The ancient Greeks created the first fork which had two tines, the knife has been around since ancient times, and spoons have been around since medieval times.

No one invented eating, it is a biological necessity. The body is created to ingest food, convert it to energy in order to function (breathe, repair wounds, beating of heart, exercise ,thinking) and then start the process all over again.

But if you had to pick a culture that LOVES food, Loves Eating, cherishes the joys and delicacies of every delicious morsel that reaches their mouth...

uses food to show love, friendship...

A culture that is constantly involved with ceremonies/dinners/ celebrations around food...

It would have to be a tie between Italians and Israelis.

If you go to grandma Rosenberg's house, or zia Valentina and not eat the cookies she just baked... you pretty much just stabbed her in the heart, twisted the knife and added a pound of salty lemon to the wound.
