Why do you need to keep lighting a gas cooker once you have switched it on and lit the gas?
Does the gas light and then turn off? Or maybe it doesn't light at all?
Which is it?
On my model you need to push down hard, using pressure, on the knob in order for the flame to catch and stay.
I presume that you are talking about this with a chemistry point of veiw, if so, I think I can help:
- You don't need to keep lighting it beacuse the reaction between the gaseous sunstance and the heat energy from the flame causes a chain reaction. Basically, the particles of the gas get all engergized by the heat, charging around hitting other gas particles therefore continously keeping the whole thing alite.
Correct me if I'm wrong, I'm just a student doing their homework, but I hope this does help :D
