Those of Odysseus' crew who survived Troy all died on the voyage back to Ithaca.
Odysseus falls into a deep deathlike sleep upon boarding the Phaecian vessel. He is asleep the entire trip back to Ithaca.
No one but Odysseus survives the journey back to Ithaca. All his men on his ship and all men on the other ships die during the voyage.
He gives him a ship and a crew and sends him back to Ithaca (his home land) on it. (Alkinoos also gives Odysseus many gifts from the Phaiakians.)
Nausicaa discovers him on the Scheria Beach and sends him up to the palace. Her parents (King Alcinoos and Queen Arete) take pity on him and let him stay the night. He tells them his story and Alcinoos sends him off with a ship and a crew back to Ithaca. Odysseus refuses to sleep until he reaches Ithaca but Athena puts a spell on him causing him to sleep. Aeolus gives Odysseus a bag of winds to help him sail safely back to Ithaca. However, Odysseus' crew opens the bag, releasing the winds and causing them to be blown off course once again.
Odysseus disguised as the beggar tells Penelope that Odysseus was with the Thesprotians gathering treasure, but that he has gone to Dodona to determine's Zeus' high mind. Odysseus says that Odysseus has lost all his crew on the Thrinacian island, but has himself survived and will be coming back to Ithaca soon.
Aeolus gives Odysseus a bag of winds, letting only the gentle West wind free. This wind helps blow Odysseus and his crew towards their home in Ithaca while the other winds are trapped within the bag.In the end, this didn't help Odysseus and his men at all. Odysseus had fallen asleep. When in sight of their homeland of Ithaca, the other crew members opened the bag in curiosity and greed. The winds escaped and sent them far away out to sea, far away from Ithaca.When Odysseus returns to ask for help again the second time, Aeolus refuses to intervene, saying that Odysseus has been cursed by the gods.

He went to Lotus-Eaters where his crew forgot there "mission(to go gome to Ithaca)." Then they faced the cyclops, then went to circe's and Calypso, than to Sylla and Charybdis, Land of the Dead, then to Helios cattle, then to Charybdis again(with no crew.)
