The biggest problem Giovanni Verrazano faced on his voyage in 1524 was navigating the treacherous waters of the North American coast, which were largely uncharted at the time. Additionally, he encountered resistance from Indigenous peoples, who were often wary of European explorers. Verrazano also struggled with limited supplies and the challenges of maintaining the morale and health of his crew during the lengthy expedition. These factors combined posed significant threats to the success of his mission.
Giovanni da Verrazano discovered the New World, also known as the Americas, on his first voyage.

this is some info from my essay intro... Giovanni Da Verrazano (born in 1485-and died in 1528 approximately) was an Italian Roman Catholic navigator who, in 1524, explored the northeast coast of North America from Cape Fear and North Carolina to Maine while searching for a Northwest Passage to Asia. Verrazano sailed for King Francis I of France. Verrazano's brother, Girolamo Da Verrazano, was a mapmaker who went with Giovanni on his voyage, and mapped the voyage himself.
