Ah, Pedro Cabral's voyage took place in the year 1500. It was a beautiful journey that led to the discovery of Brazil. Just imagine the incredible sights and sounds he must have experienced on that adventure.
The year 1500 was the date upon which the first voyage of Pedro Álvares Cabral [c. 1468 - c. 1520] for Portugal took place. Cabral sailed under the patronage of King Manuel I of Portugal [May 31, 1469-December 13, 1521]. For his first voyage, he gathered a fleet of 13 ships and 1,500 men. They sailed out of Lisbon on March 9, 1500 and first sighted Brazil on April 21.The voyage reached its destination of Calicut [Kozhikode] in the south Indian state of Kerala on September 13, 1500. Cabral left India on January 16, 1501 and arrived in Portugal on June 23, 1501. Great losses during the voyage included losing two-thirds of his fleet and losing renowned Portuguese explorer Barolomeu Dias [c. 1451-May 24, 1500], who went down with four ships off the coast of the Cape of Good Hope on the southern tip of Africa.
Pedro Cabral's exploration took place in the early 16th century along the eastern coast of South America, specifically in present-day Brazil. You can find maps of his exploration in historical books, museums, and online resources that focus on early European explorations in the Americas.
He most likely had his first voyage in 1513, and his second voyage in 1521.

The founding of the city of New Orleans occurred last, in 1718. The discovery of the Pacific Ocean by Vasco Núñez de Balboa took place in 1513, the voyage of Ferdinand Magellan began in 1519 and ended in 1522, and the territory of Brazil was discovered by Pedro Álvares Cabral in 1500. Thus, New Orleans was established over two centuries later.

Ferdinand Magellan was likely in his early 20s when he set off for his first voyage. He was born around 1480, and his first documented voyage was in 1505 when he joined a Portuguese fleet bound for India. This would place him in his mid-20s at the time of his first voyage.
