Nobody saved Phillip in The Cay. He stayed living in The Cay.:(
I have a different answer, it really depends on what part of The Cay you're talking about, in the beginning though, the man who saved Phillip was named timothy
Actually he does get saved at the end of the storyIt was Stew the ship chefs cat.
Phillip and Timothy were on the island for many months until Phillip was rescued.
Phillip got rescued at the end of the book because, he had a fire and there was a helicopter or plane and the helicopter or plane saw the smoke from the fire, so they sent a boat to the cay and he got rescued. I don't know who wrote that dumb answer before but here is the correct one. From, Leah
What day did Phillip from the book The Cay
Phillip is from Virginia
In chapter 18 of "The Cay," the main characters Timothy and Phillip experience a powerful storm at sea that leaves Phillip blinded and in need of Timothy's help to survive. In chapter 19, Timothy builds a shelter for them on a deserted cay, where they must learn to rely on each other to stay alive and find a way to be rescued.
Phillip got off The Cay after being rescued by a passing ship. Throughout his time on the island, he had survived with the help of an elderly man named Timothy, who taught him essential survival skills. After a storm, Phillip was eventually found by a rescue crew, leading to his safe return to civilization. Timothy, however, tragically did not survive the ordeal.
He lived in Curacao, in the Caribbean. The World War (II) came to the island close and Phillip was sent away from the war. His ship was torpedoed and he got stranded on a Cay with a Black Person that could not spell. Phillip could not see either. They used their survival skills together and Phillip was rescued. Tymothy (the black man) died protecting Phillip from the storm.
