Probably not, as this goes against all normal (Family values) The Eskimos seem to have some Oriental traits, and Ancestor worship is surely one such value. Look at the almost deified or (Goddess-ized) Empress Tzu Hsi or China!-What probably went on was unproductive or senescent elders were abandoned in a sort of rear-echelon camp, having normal shelter values, etc.l there may have been inadvertent group suicides like those arguably fictional refrigerator (Die-Ins) always involving kids and ALWAYS in out of the way places frustrating looking up, say funeral parlors. There were some possibly inadvertent senior citizen suicides in igloo bunkers, but.. that coud have been accidental, monoxide poisoning not readily undertstood a century or more back. still it is disturbing. Thy probably abandoned some old tribal members, but made some provision for well-being. Certainly this is not murder or homicide.
