Like any native people, the Inuit use their environment to help them survive. For example, they use the naturally provided resources to produce fire and to find food. Animals are used for meat, oil, skins etc. Plants could be used for food, as well as to produce wares such as baskets and hats. The surrounding ice they use to create igloos and other structures. The surrounding environment is the one thing that is provided to make use of, as a starting civilisation, and must be utilised to the fullest for a community to survive.
