She told me it's like our national anthem in a way, because there is so much respect paid to it. More tribes than the Micmacs perform the Honor Song. The syllables don't translate into words, if I understood her correctly. The chanting isn't always the same. There is a version for healing and one for communication with nature. It's all in honor of the Great Creator. I was listening to 3 versions on You Tube, and they all sounded different.
