It was thier main source of food
At first the Native Americans didn't mind the pioneers. But then the pioneers started hunting the buffalo, elk, and deer, which were the Native Americans main source of food.
One of their main resource was buffalo. They used it for clothing, food, and weapons.
Native Americans used hunting, gathering, farming and on some occasions, raising domestic animals as food sources. Native Americans from the North and Northwest were primarily hunting and gathering societies, but also fished and in some cases were able to farm a bit if the climate permitted. On the other hand, Native Americans in the Southwest, had a more nomadic lifestyle and used hunting and gathering as their main food sources.

It was from the newcomers such as the english, french and italians once the came they needed a source of food and they took the food from native americans and deprived them from buffalo
The Native Americans of the Great Plains relied on the buffalo population for food, shelter, clothing, and fuel. As white settlers moved into the region, they shot and killed buffalo for sport and by 1890 there were fewer than 1000 buffalo left on the plain (65 million in 1800). Without their main source of food many Native Americans suffered
The British were aggressive towards the Native Americans.
