The Ancestral Puebloans, commonly referred to as the Anasazi, began to settle in the Four Corners region of the United States around 200 to 300 CE. They developed complex societies, known for their cliff dwellings and elaborate pottery. The culture flourished until approximately 1300 CE, when they began to migrate away from the region for reasons that are still debated by archaeologists.

They lived in the four corners area of the American Southwest.
The Anasazis were hunters, gatherers and farmers. They would eat wild plants, wild foods such as coyote, jackrabbits and mountain lions, as well as, harvested crops such as squash, beans and corn.

The Aztecs belied in human sacrifice but the Anasazi where peaceful.
