Balotra (Balhotra, Bhalhotra) are Rajputs. Starting from Mughal Kaal balotra was founded in Rajsthan under Rathores clans. Rathores has established Chatriyon Ka Maurcha at Balhotra Rajsthan to fight against Mughals therafter some Rathores known as Balhotra. Most modren structure of Balotra (Balhotra) place was re-structured by the Rajpurohits hence some of them are known as Brahmin.
Balhotra (Balotra, Bhalhotra) are also found under Dogra (Rajput) clans in Jammu and Kangra Himachal Pradesh, Gurdaspur Himachal Pradesh. They have strong presences during fight against Mughals.
In Punjab areas some balhotra found under Prajapati clans.
