Pocahontas was never a leader, in any form: these myths are formed from fanciful (and outright non-truthful) legends built up around cartoons (Like Disney's production of Pocahontas) and such. Pocahontas was just a widowed woman that married a widowed 'white man,' was baptized to the Church of England, and was taken before the Queen of England to "prove these savages could be domesticated."
She told her dad(the tribe leader) not to kill John Smith. Also some say Pocahontas and John Smith went into a relationship.
There are 2 movies. Pocahontas and Pocahontas II
