Jael used a tent peg and a mallet to kill Sisera
Deborah.
Sisera
Deborah was judging Israel during that time (Judges 4:4). According to the Bible, Sisera was killed by Jael, Heber's wife, after letting Him go to sleep deeply (Judges 4:21). After that, Jael met Barak and showed Sisera dead in her tent.
Barak was advised by the prophetess Deborah to march against Sisera with ten thousand men. Deborah, serving as a judge and leader of Israel, received a command from God to rally the troops and assured Barak of victory over Sisera, the commander of the Canaanite army. This pivotal moment marked the beginning of a significant battle in the Book of Judges.
Jael the wife of Heber (Judges 4:21)
No. She was a prophetess who advised concerning the battle against Sisera but did not physically participate.
Sisera died when Jael hammered a (wooden) tent peg through his head.
Jael drove a tent peg into the head of Sisera, commander of the Canaanite armies.
Judges 4:22 - And then, as Barak pursued Sisera, Jael came out to meet him, and said to him, "Come, I will show you the man whom you seek." And when he went into her tent, there lay Sisera, dead with the peg in his temple.[NKJV]
