A serious complication of a ruptured appendix is peritonitis, which is inflammation of the lining of the abdominal cavity. This can lead to severe infection, sepsis, and potentially life-threatening complications if not treated promptly with surgery and antibiotics.
foood and mucus and get trapped inside, and eventually it POPS
His death was on October 31, 1926. Some dude punched him in the stomach 3 times, which created his ruptured appendix.
Because he want to New answer: Modern doctors and historians believe death of Charles Floyd was caused by a ruptured appendix
If a person has appendicitis, their appendix may burst open, resulting in leakage of fluid into the intestines. Although a ruptured appendix can result in death, most often it doesn't kill the patient. Rather, it results in a serious infection, which gradually worsens without medical intervention.
Nothing. It come back to its normal activity in a short time, after surgery. However, without IV antibiotics and surgery, death is very likely due to massive infections in the internal organs.
It is very painful. Basically it is gangrene that has formed on the appendix. This means the appendix is rotten.

A burst appendix causes peritonitis. It's spreads the infection from the appendix to the abdominal cavity. Unless treated quickly it leads to death.
If you have a bad appendix, then the pain will usually be in the very lower right side of the abdomen, although the pain may be near the belly button or even in the lower back. A burst appendix can be a serious matter, so you should see a doctor if the pain persists. If you have a fever as well as the pain, you need to head to the emergency room as your appendix may have burst causing an infection. Usually when you have a tummy bug or tummy ache the pain stays in the middle, but with appendicitis, the pain becomes extremely painful and moves towards the side of your tummy. Very painful tummy aches should immediately be checked out by a physician or better, at the hospital because there may be a chance your appendix is bursting. When it bursts a sort of fluid flows out and it can cause infection. In more severe cases it causes death. Just like Houdini who died of his appendix bursting.
Yes it can. The appendix is a small vestigial single ended pouch which is attached to the intestine. Modern humans don't need this pouch and normally if it causes any issues it is routinely removed by an incision in the lower abdominal region. Technically speaking appendicitis doesn't kill you since it is the swelling of the appendix, however if the appendix gets to the point where it swells sufficiently enough to rupture then this is called peritonitis and can cause blood poisoning and other complications by spilling the contents of the intestines into the body cavity. The appendix can be inflamed but not enough to cause issues and this can last a lifetime without serious danger of death (However for safety most Doctors would recommend removal). This is called a "Rumbling appendix".
