Actually the Celtic believe that Daisies were the creations of God, who showered the earth with them to bring happiness back to parents who lost their children in birth, such as a way of showing that all children who died being born were pure and innocent. It is a common misconception that it is a "flower of death" ,but simply put it is a "flower of innocent death". It is also said that daisies will not grow near the grave of one who bears great sin in their spirit since it is believed that the sin of one will stay with the body and vice-versa with the innocent. Many people believe that because daisies are linked with death that it is a bad omen but they should really be more informed when it comes to such things, since it can cause people considerable emotional upset.
