You have used some ambiguous language. By Flight Home I assume you mean the body is transported by air- if somebody died, in say California- was locally embalmed- then flown to, say New York. I do not know of any specific songs or hymns associated with this out-landish brand of albeit necessary funeral customs. Of course, if the deceased was an active duty member of the Armed Forces, there are a variety of service songs ( Artillery, Anchors Aweigh, Army Air Corps, USMC HYMN, etc) which might be used. ( Taps) is a bugle call and not, strictly speaking, a song, and you stated song.

The Army Song
Taps is a song. It is a musical piece played at dusk and at funerals, particularly by the U.S. military.
The name of the song that was "Voices that care." I saw this video on the flight home from Operation Desert Storm and still have a copy in my "war box."
The ones that I've heard in most funerals are Nearer My God To Thee and Amazing Grace. Generally a song that the deceased liked is played along with any other favorites from the family.
