The Bible doesn't say, and nobody really knows. It seems that he was dead by the time Jesus was crucified, as according to the Gospel accounts he asked his disciple John to care for her, implying that she was a widow.

We do not know when Joseph died. However, it was probably before Our Lord began his public life as nothing is noted in the Bible about him after the parents of Jesus lost him and found him teaching and answering questions in the temple.

All we know is Joseph had apparently died before the year 30 AD.

We have no record of the date when Joseph died. However, it probably occurred before Our Lord began his public life.

The date is not known but it occurred sometime between 12 AD and 30 AD.

The date of the death of St. Joseph, husband of St. Mary; is unknown.

The Bible records that he was alive when Jesus was 12 years old; but he is not mentioened thereafter; and is believed to have died some time before Jesus began his ministry.

We do not know. One tradition tells us he was already advanced in age when he took Mary as a wife. He was probably born sometime between 40-50 B.C. We know he was alive when Jesus got lost in the Temple at age 12. However, that is the last we hear about Joseph in the New Testament. He was probably already long dead when Jesus began his public life at age 30.
