There are many diets out there that are incredibly dangerous. And everyone's body works different so not all meal replacements may work. Meal replacements can vary on the purpose of it in the first place. If you want less fat on your body then eating less greasy foods and fatty foods would actually work. Most body builders avoid in-taking fatty foods. So the answer would be, it depends.
