The time it takes to die from starvation varies depending on several factors, including an individual’s health, body fat, hydration levels, and overall metabolism. Generally, a person can survive without food for about 1 to 2 months, provided they have access to water. However, severe physical and mental deterioration can occur within days to weeks without food. It’s essential to seek medical help if someone is unable to eat or is considering starvation.

They might have overgrown teeth. If their teeth are too long, they will prevent the gerbil from eating. The vet can file down their teeth to make them smaller. Also, they may not like the food. Try mixing different brands of food until they find a food they like. Still, I would take them to the vet, as them not eating is pretty serious.
That depends entirely on from where you are departing. For example, if you were starting out in Seattle, it would take about 43 hours driving non-stop. If you were starting in Dallas, it would take about 13 hours, non-stop. From Tampa, about 7 hours, non-stop.
If the car hit a solid wall, it would stop in a small fraction of a second.
