Gram is an unit of weight while ml is an unit of volume - the result will depend on the density of the substance. 30 ml of lead will be a lot heavier than than 30 ml of sugar.

you cannot compare a weight with a volume... ml is mililiters [volume] and mg is miligram [mass]. The relationship between these is density [mass/volume]. So if the density of the substance is known, divide mass ÷ density, to find volume.
