No, it's not a mineral. Carbohydrate is a class of organic substances (organic = generated by living systems, made of carbon, hydrogen, oxygen and sometimes nitrogen) which possess chemical energy, and are fuels for us if we can digest and absorb them. All carbs are composed of sugars. Minerals are much simpler inorganic substances or isolated elements (single atoms) and possess no chemical energy, and hence aren't fuels for us.
