  • Try doing 50 sit-ups a day it only takes about 10 minutes or if you really are lazy I have tried those ab belts, they aren't that expensive and do work but doing sit-ups would help as well.
  • Also cardio exercise such as walking or jogging or walking works the best at 'fat burning' and toning up your stomach fast. Start out slow. 15-20 mins 3x a week then add to your time as your body adjusts to it. Sit ups are good but most people have a hard time with posture. I recommend getting a yoga ball. The big ones work best because you are constantly flexing your muscles, every muscle. There are many exercises you can do with the ball and you will see results fast especially if you add cardio exercise such as walking.
  • Eliminate (or severely restrict) refined (processed) carbohydrates. They are a major cause of fat accumulating around the abdomen. In place of refined (processed) carbohydrate, eat more 'fat burning' foods. Add to that cardio exercise. The best cardio exercise is walking because it is easier on your body than running or jogging and it is sustainable long term. To learn more about how to lose stomach fat, cardio exercise, fat burning foods, and for a list of refined (processed) carbohydrates, see the page links, further down this page, listed under Related Questions.

Yes, because the baby is bigger and squishing your stomach so there is less space for your food, which often makes you not very hungry and can cause morning sickness to come back again, hence weight loss Always call your OB, remember they have the degree. The answer is NO. The baby is growing and also putting on more weight IF you are eating normally/there hasn't been a change in your eating. A lot of people do lose weight though. A New Technique to Combat Weight Gain A Year of More Post Surgery?

Post gastric bypass surgery weight gain may result from enlargement of the stomach pouch. An enlarged stomach pouch will hold more food, allowing for the absorption of more calories, which may lead to weight gain. A physician may repair the pouch through a nonsurgical technique called stomaphyx. In this procedure, a doctor inserts a device into the stomach pouch through the mouth of the patient. The physician staples the sides of the stomach to reduce the size again. Less risk of infection is reported with this technique. It results in less pain and a shorter recovery time for the patient.
