Your body's main source of energy is Carbohydrate, which mainly comes from things such as; Bread, Pasta,Cakes and other similar. Carbohydrate is also your body's first substance to burn off when excersising. However, our body's still think we live like caveman, and may go short of food from time-to-time, but your body has no idea how long you will starve for, even though you don't in the first place, so it turns a small amount of everything that has lots of Carbohydrate into Fat and stores it, normally to the Stomach or Thighs. This is why most dieting programs suggest cutting down your Carbohydrate level so, A) Your body can't store as much fat as it did before and B) Your body will burn off the Fat in replacement of the Carbohydrate. Though remember, most dieting programs do not suggest you to do excersice. This is because Muscle weighs up to four times the amount of Fat.
