The greatest cause of hunger is greed, Greed for power and greed for wealth. These lead to wars and poverty and the destruction of the infrastructure required to overcome the effects of drought, blight, and bad farming practices. Competition among the manufacturers of food and other products in the wealthy country's also put poor country's in a position where they can never begin to build up their wealth and infrastructure because their prices are forced down so far that earnings dwindle to a pittance.
