"Cena" is he Latin word for dinner. The Romans ate whatever was on the menu if they were dining out, or whatever their own cook made for them if eating at home. It was their main mean of the day and was usually three courses, he first being something like eggs and salad, the second being the meat/fish course and the third being dessert. Of course, this was only for the wealthy and middle classed. The very poor more than likely ate beans with oil sprinkled on them or some other one dish meal.
