I've never heard it called that, but I think you are referring to over-exercise or people who have exercise addictions. These people are obsessed with working out to the point that it is getting in the way of their every day lives. They usually eat normally, but sometimes over-exercising is found in anorexia or bulimia. They often work out much more than necessary, and get really thin because they are burning many more calories then they are taking in (even if they are eating normally). Some can exercise for 8-10 hours at a time.
That would be anorexia nervosa.
Anorexia nervosa is an eating disorder characterized by an intense fear of gaining weight, leading individuals to restrict their food intake severely and often engage in excessive exercise. Bulimia nervosa, on the other hand, involves cycles of binge eating followed by compensatory behaviors such as vomiting, excessive exercise, or fasting to prevent weight gain. Both disorders can have serious physical and psychological consequences and often require professional treatment for recovery.
Yes. It's a serious condition called anorexia nervosa. I had it and felt like I wanted to die.
I do not think it can be associated with anorexia nervosa, but I think it can be related with bulimia nervosa
It's not an eating disorder 'caused by', but rather 'classified by' and it is known as Bulimia Nervosa. Google it.
