Let's say you have a hamburger that's 400 calories. Hamburgers are relatively easy to digest so (this is just a guess) it uses around 10 calories to digest. So basically your body is taking in 390 calories from that burger. Now, celery is very low cal. I believe a long stalk has like 5 calories. But, celery is hard for your body to digest so it uses 10 calories to digest it. So really, your body is taking in negative 5 calories
